I am an integrative therapist who applies a range of approaches depending on what will best support my clients presenting issues. I use person centred therapy (PCT), CBT, psychodynamic and EMDR techniques (trauma recovery) amongst others. During your initial consultation we will discuss the therapy plan and the approach recommended. This plan is reviewed regularly to assess the progress being made so you can make decisions about the therapy support you receive. The most important part of any therapy is you so I will do my best to work with you so I support you in making the changes you want to make.
I support clients to make changes to their lives based on providing a safe space in which they explore alternative ways of thinking and behaving through guided imagery and rehearsals of how life can be different. This therapy is very effective when clients find it difficult to verbally express their feelings or feel overwhelmed when talking about the issues they face. Hypnotherapy can help clients regain calm self-reflection aiding decision making and enabling them to move forward positively with renewed confidence.
Counselling (or talking therapy) and hypnotherapy can be very helpful in enabling clients to deal with stress, loss, anxiety or unhelpful patterns of behaviour. The therapy can help develop positive coping strategies and alternative patterns of behaviour resulting in a more positive outlook on life.
